Kaki is Sinan Hussein’s formation of hypothetical hybrid character, came into life in 2021. It took the artist 13 years of experience for Kaki to be born into today’s contemporary world. It is arguable that Kaki may resemble to the Australian fauna and as it holds some features of a koala and other Mammals on the verge of extinction.
Sinan’s practice always hold a significant meaning and highlights controversial topics on many aspects including political, environmental and most importantly humanitarian aspect. where he tends to signify the nature of human beings and the internal conflicts that existed since time immemorial.
One of most controversial topics which Sinan worked hard on portraying is testing on animals for beauty products that is safe for the sake of human.
The sense of responsibility as an artist urged Sinan to create Kaki and with all the pollution now on earth Kaki has two rounded rooms around his mouth which filter the air for him so Kaki can breathe a clean air, free from chemical, physical or biological agents that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere and makes it polluted.
The presence of Kaki also signify the human interactions, relationships and the complications of updating the society. As the world is developing the society needs to stay updated with such changes and deals with it with respect and dignity.
